B - Bucket Lists

What is a bucket list you may ask yourself. A bucket list is a list you make of all the things you want to do before you kick the proverbial bucket. There was a very poignant film created called The Bucket List with actors Jack Nicholson and Samual L Jackson and it prompted my own bucket list.

My list comprises mainly if places in the world I want to see, but does include other things.

Here is just a taster of my quite large bucket list-

1. Write a novel and have it published (with all the steps in-between)

2. Get a degree in earth sciences

3. Visit Iceland and stay in an ice hotel

4. Walk on the great wall if China

5. Visit New York

6. Swim with dolphins

What six things would you put on your bucket list?

  3. Ooh, an ice hotel! That sounds... exciting, actually.

My life has become very focused on the present moment lately, mostly due to things outside my control, so I find it difficult to ponder big dreams. Instead I set my sights on small, manageable tasks.

I will admit though.. I've always wanted to see the pyramids.

  4. I love that movie! :)

As for me, I feel lucky to already have accomplished some of the things I've always wanted to do, such as getting married and having a child, and actively writing and being published. Also, one of my goals was to play with tigers, and I got to do that - it was awesome!

Some things I'd like to do now are:

    -Visit Scotland

    -Visit Japan

    -Become efficient in speaking Japanese

-Go to the Harry Potter Themepark in Orlando

-Write lots more books and have them published

I'm thinking of doing the dolphin thing in a few weeks! It looks too awesome to pass up, I think!

    2) See the world.
    3) Get on stage.
    4) Completely control my phobias.
    5) Go to the olympics.
    6) Do drav maga...

Yeah... I've got strange tastes. ;-)

  9. Nice list. Mine changes from time to time, but being published and having music on the radio are my top artistic desires. Having healthy, happy children are my most important human desires. Then, yeah, George Clooney. Ahem.

  19. India - the pyramids are also on my list. We went to Egypt a couple of years ago but never made it to the pyramids as my youngest was small and it would have been a long hot day for him. I do intend to go though.

Ranae - You've played with Tigers?! Wow, I'm impressed and ever so slightly envious. That might have to go on my list!

Bish - Scotland is supposed to be a beautiful country. My youngest wants to go to Loch Ness and look for Nessie so we may make it up there at some point.

    Thanks Carole.

Thanks Hart. They do seem to be on a few bucket lists. Great goals to aim for :)

Misha - Wishing you lots of luck with those. They certainly aren't strange tastes. I'm aiming definitely trying for number one.

Amy - George Clooney, mm, yes please!

Catherine - I hope you manage to do those one day.

Talei - Now they are beautiful places for a beach hut. Good luck with goal one!

Austin - Number 2 is a very brave thing to do never mind have on a list of things you want to do! I wish you luck with it :)

Baygirl - I've seen images of the Ice hotels a couple of times now and they really are beautiful to look at. I'd love to do it.

Kari - I know that feeling. My bucket list feels never ending, but I'm definitely going to have a go at completing it :)

Teresa - They are great goals. Wishing you lots of luck with them.

Talli - The Amazon looks stunning, but I'd be scared of the massive spiders in and around it!

Nicolette - Apologies, my mistake. That will teach me not to check my facts before I blog. Loving the die hard fans of number 1!

  25. I want to visit Italy. I'm part of an Italian family, though much of the culture was never passed to my brother and I. There are some other places I'd like to visit as well, but Italy is probably the most important to me.

  26. I've always thought I'd like to do the ice hotel, too, but I get cold even in the summer. I think I'd chicken out!

A book is on my bucket list, too. I look forward to hearing more about your crime writing!

  27. Endure to the end. That's all. (Well, I guess and enjoy having my book published.)

Coming over to meet you from your comment on my B post, I just read about Ehlerss-Danlos Syndrome. Hyperelastica. It sounds a bit scary.

Life in Clarity. I like your blog title. For me that's seeing what I can and can't control, and being as cheerful and as patient as I can be with life's afflictions. There IS joy to be found in the most difficult of trials.

    I'm happy to meet you!
