My New Home Office

Following the post about making my own writing space at home, I thought I'd share a photo of the new desk in the freshly cleared out spare room. I'm loving the peace of my own office and I'm loving the space the desk gives me to spread my notes out around me, as well as the drawers to shove them all in, to give the impression of tidiness and calm.

I give to you, my shiny new home office!

Now let's see if it can help me weave some magic.

  1. How wonderful to have a room you can disappear into, not sure I could keep a desk that tidy! Looks perfect for weaving magic!

  5. Claire Mc - It feels wonderful still. It feels magical. It has that new desk smell and I love it. :)

Clare K - I know I'm so lucky! It took some time to get myself into gear and clear out the spare room and order the desk, but now it's here, I love it!

Joanne - Thank you :) I'm loving it!

Jenny - I put it off for so long. The idea came to me at the beginning of the year and I've only just sorted it. If you can make a space, not necessarily a room, but a space, then do it, it feels great!

Ranae - Thank you. I'm already quite attached :)

  6. How exciting!

I moved home a few months ago. Large desk into a small room that also needed to contain a spare bed = tight squeeze! But it's MY tight squeeze and I love it!

    Enjoy your weaving :)

  8. Congrats on tidying up your place. Cleanliness is important, especially for a writing place, as you need to be fully concentrated and inspired with what you're currently writing about. But in my opinion, you should spruce up the room a bit more. Gosh, this reminds me of the time my best friend got her house! The first thing she had in mind was the design of her home office!

  9. Having your own office means you can do anything with it. And the best thing about it is that you're your own boss. I admit that I'm a little jealous. I've yet to finish my home office.

  10. Home offices are appealing because they give you a measure of privacy. It's great to have a space where you can work in peace, without distraction. Yours look simple, but effective.
