Anyway. On to something more interesting. I'm not the most domesticated person I know, in fact I'd probably go as far as to say I'm the least domesticated person I know. And yet, today, I found myself making Malteser cheesecake from scratch. Not a packet mix in sight. It even tasted devine. I think I'm in danger of becoming a domestic goddess. Though that could be going a bit far in all my excitement.
Have you tried to do something recently that you haven't tried before? How did it go?
I leave you with aforementioned cheesecake to drool over. :)
EDIT: To say, you can find the recipe Here. Just scroll through the page of different cheescakes until you find this one.
That looks amazing...now I want cheesecake for breakfast. I'm more a follow a recipe kind of gal, at least until I've made something a few times :)
ReplyDeleteI've just added the link where you can get the recipe :)
DeleteThat looks absolutely fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your sleep issues sorted it out. Being awake when you want to be asleep is so miserable.
Thanks Sarah. It is making everything seem like really hard work. I'm sure I'll hit a level point soon.
DeleteThe cheesecake was wonderful! :)
Oh...cheesecake. Me likey.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely. I need to make it again!
DeleteThis looks amazing. I've been looking for a recipe since it's become my fav pregnancy snack. I literally stop indulging on anything else so I can hop over to the coffee shop for it once a week.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear about new challenges. I bought myselfna sewing machine last week and figured out howmto thread, etc. all n my own and been sowed a comforter for my expected baby girl.
I also bought some second hand peices of furniture that I wanted to try my hand at restoring and yesterday I stripped the first item of paint and sanded. So tomorrow me and spray paint. I think i'm in that nesting period. Especially with us moving house as well.
It really is worth making if you get the chance, it was just so lovely.
DeleteI've popped over to your blog and seen your comforter. It's lovely.
As I said on twitter that cheesecake looks divine! When I followed the link to the recipes I feel in love with the blueberry cheesecake (Yes, I am going to marry it, so there). Is there anything you can take for your POTS when it gets particularly troublesome?
ReplyDeleteTheyt all looked heavenly didn't they! I think I will be trying one of the others as well, though I do feel an urge to make the malteser one again!
DeleteThe POTS clinic have come up with a couple of things. I'm trying the first one, then if that doesn't work by four weeks, we look at option B. I'm sad that this means I'm going to be popping pills for life, but it's a bit unbearable without them, so needs must I suppose.
I have friends over on Saturday - I know what I'm making now! Hope your sleeping sorts itself out soon, it must be awful for you x
ReplyDeleteDid you try it Linda? What was it like?
DeleteOh, and I just tagged you on my blog - not the same one as in your previous post but don't feel you have to play if you're too exhausted!
ReplyDeleteMmm, cheesecake! :)
ReplyDeleteIt really was one of the nicest things I think I've ever attempted to make!
DeleteHugs on not feeling so good. Hope you get well soon.
ReplyDeleteI made lasagne and it turned out good. So for the next break I will save this cheesecake recipe to try! It looks yum!
Riya
Thank you Riya.
DeleteLet me know if you make the cheesecake and what you thought :)
Yum yum YUUUUM!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Not sleeping is just miserable sometimes.
Thanks Talli. It's not the best feeling.
DeleteThe cheesecake helped cheer me up though! :)
Your cheesecake looks divine. I love the special touch of cherries on top. The "becoming a domestic goddess" part wouldn't be of concern to me, more the "gaining weight from hogging all the cheesecake."
ReplyDeleteYes, the weight gain with doing this is a bit worrying, but I'm not going to do such generously calorie laden things often, but it was definitely worth the treat.
DeleteMalteser cheese cake sounds delicious. I've done nothing new lately and need to get out of my rut so Malteser cheese cake sounds just the way to do that. Hope you're starting to feel better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosalind. Unfortunately I'm still in the same position, but hoping for it to ease in the next few weeks.
DeleteLet me know what you think if you make that cheesecake!
Hope you get some rest soon. I know hard it is on the body when you're not getting enough sleep. I love Cheese Cake!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It can be hard work.
DeleteThe cheesecake was divine! :)
I hope you've been sleeping better since you posted.
ReplyDeleteThe cheesecake looks delicious!
Thanks Theresa. I'm still struggling, but it will hopefully right itself over the next few weeks.
