What Do You Have Waiting To Be Read?

I love reading, as I know many of you do. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to inhale the amount of books I want to read, but it doesn't stop me trying.

I used to only read crime fiction, it's the genre I love, but last year I read some chick-lit and loved it. Then I got a kindle, or the kindle app on the iPad anyway. This has been addictive for me. I can't keep out of the bookstore. I've never had so many books waiting to be read. In eBook alone, I think I have about 50 books waiting to be read. There was a big jump in these just after Christmas when the Amazon eBook store had a 12 days of Christmas special where they put multiple books on offer for 99p. I was in reading heaven.

The outcome is I found books I wouldn't normally read. My favourite title from these is How to teach Quantum Physics to you Dog. I mean, what a great title!

I can't wait to read this. I love science, so I'm fascinated by what could be in this book.

I've decided I really need to widen my reading pattern as well as reading a lot in my chosen genre. Below are some of the other books I've downloaded that I maybe wouldn't have read a year ago as well as a crime fiction book introducing me to an author I haven't read. All in my waiting to be read list.

What do you have waiting to be read and do you dip into books you maybe wouldn't have thought you'd enjoy?

  2. I there with you. I have tons more books to read now that I have a kindle. (On the bright side 50 kindle books takes up less space the 50 paperbacks.)

  3. A friend lent me a book that I really should read, but I'm already not getting around to reading another book, while trying to read a Kindle book, in between being smothered by my cat. I fail at reading, big time!

  4. I'm in exactly the same situation after getting my iPad. The list just keeps climbing. I just finished the hunger games in audio and managed to snag the rest in eBook too so that at the moment is right at the top. I'm busy reading some stuff for review requests though and that on its own feels like a a full time job sometimes. LOL

  5. I've made a deal with myself that I can't visit the library again until I've read at least half the books on my PC. It could take some time!

  6. Those books look pretty good.

I've taken to picking books in my Library at random by letter so that I can expand my reading horizons.

  9. Next in line for me to read is to finish up the Hunger Games and Soulless series. Not new discoveries by any means, but things I really need to read.

  10. Time Camera by Simon Rose is next on my list. I count on book reviewers to find new and interesting books (especially when the book isn't what I usually read).

  11. Oh I have SO MANY books waiting to be read and just not enough time in the day to plow through them. I am currently reading 21st Century Dodos and The Interpreters. When I have finished those I will start Dead Man's Grip which is at the top of my TBR pile.

  12. Rebecca,
Nice post. My next book is The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenidis, but first I have to get through Moby Dick. It's a tough read. I too find the Kindle addictive. You can buy the hot novel without waiting until it's available at the library and all the classics are available for free. I love it.
